The Sun changes from feisty Aries to grounded Taurus. On the same day, the New Moon and Solar Eclipse at the last degree of Aries (29°) squares Pluto in Aquarius at (0°). This is the first eclipse in Aries before the nodes change from Taurus - Scorpio to Aries - Libra. This eclipse is a glimpse into the next eighteen months of Aries - Libra vigorous alchemy. Aries shows you how you can control your destiny. Chiron remains in Aries until 2027 reminding you to invite your inner child to heal core wounds. April 21 to May 15 - Mercury goes Retrograde (RX)
Retrogrades are not given enough credit. They are feared rather than revered. They give you a second chance to redo some areas of your life. Wouldn’t you like to look back and reassess decisions, relationship choices, and goals? Retrogrades are refinement periods.
Mercury retrograde in Taurus (15°) is a time to pause, heal self-image issues, and re-evaluate your goals and aspirations. Embrace your strengths and values. Once you have monitored your growth, you will be ready to embrace the unknown and feel satisfied that you’ve learnt enough and feel motivated, to take a giant leap of faith forward to customise your life to your needs.
April 24 – Sun and North Node Conjunct
The Sun will conjunct Taurus North Node (4°), aiding you to find direction in life that is connected to a higher purpose. The Sun is your ego and soul self. Ask yourself, what lights me up? What are my current desires? Face fears that keep you protected and switch to an optimistic outlook if you want different results. You may have many great ideas that open up new pathways, or growth opportunities come your way. This can be an exciting time to redirect your life if desired.
May 1 to October 10 - Pluto Goes Retrograde (RX)
Pluto retrograde gives you time to sort out those karmic boomerangs. Feel encouraged to take a plunge into Pluto’s underworld to eliminate abuses and self-effacing patterns. Put healthy systems into place for emotional support. Don’t underestimate your own inner strengths and morals. Nothing like shadow work to jolt the normalcy of life! Pluto is the PHD in life (psychology), once equipped with Pluto’s positive teachings, you will be a scholar in that subject for life! Nothing is off limits with Pluto, it helps us face every aspect of living.
May 5 – Lunar Eclipse
This illumination is at (14°) in Scorpio. This lunar cycle is close to the North Node (4°), Mercury RX (8°), and Uranus (18°) in Taurus. You may feel bothered by critical voices from your internal and external worlds. Eclipses show you what you need to face. This crucial step for growth and change will unlock you from repeating damaging cycles of conflicts. Don’t be shy to take a deeper look into the root causes of your inner insecurities. Rewarding closures will likely come indirectly.
The next Scorpio – Taurus nodes will be from March 21, 2031 – October 14, 2032. We will experience the reverse with Scorpio north node leading the way and the Taurus south node bowing down to Scorpio’s demands for psychological and financial changes. It will be interesting to see how much the collective heals before the next decade rolls around. I always advise my clients to work ahead of the astrological events to avoid being caught in the undercurrents of transits.
May 6 – King Charles’s Coronation
The duty-bound King’s fourth house is in Scorpio. The fourth house lies in the unconscious realm of your natal chart. Its themes are your DNA, mother, intuition, and inner security. When you feel emotionally secure you can build wealth, a secure home, and a place to nurture and house your family. The King is a passionate Scorpio Sun along with South Node, Mercury, and Chiron. His Taurus Mid-Heaven (public persona and ambitions) is conjunct his natal north node and Moon (mother, intuition, inner security, nurturing). Through his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, the new King is globally recognised.
This eclipse season is an immensely important time for the new King and marks new beginnings. He has been groomed his whole life to become the head of the royal family. Finally, he inherits the glory and pain of wearing the ritualistic crown. The astrology effectively shows he has secured his place in the world and laid down roots. Depending on what happens, the UK may not have another Queen for another century.
Pluto will be transiting his Aquarius seventh house cusp, testing ALL his relationships. As head of the monarchy, he will need to use caution against ill advisers and be equally careful of the legal, and karmic implications of his actions. If he leads with his heart and not his ego, his humanity will be revered, and he could leave behind an impressive legacy. Let’s see if he pursues personal evolution.

May 16 to May 25, 2024 - Jupiter Enters Taurus
Jupiter takes on a different personality in sturdy Taurus. It allows you to build lasting long-term commitments. This lovely grounding energy doesn’t rush you and helps you use all your resources to usher in prosperity.

May 20 - T-Fixed Square
The T-fixed square is at 0°. It involves Pluto (RX) in Aquarius (intellect, higher purpose, friends) opposing Mars in Leo (creativity, ego), and both planets square, Jupiter in Taurus (self-love, money). I believe in personal evolution and choices, and I believe each planet, star, etc, has a soul and a purpose. The connection you make with the planets is individual to your natal (birth) chart and your current trajectory, mindset, and life experiences. This event should help you uncover some part of your soul and ego self, that has to dominate your space at the moment.
